Making The World a Better Place, One Poker Tournament at a Time! In an effort to give back to the community, SBLR has organized an internal Charitable Committee to raise much-needed funds for some very worthy charitable organizations. Our designated charity for 2010 is the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada (TSFC). Founded in 1976, the TSFC is the only federally registered charitable organization of volunteers assisting individuals affected by Tourette Syndrome and its associated disorders. The Foundation offers programs of education, advocacy, self-help and the promotion of research, and does not receive any government funds for operations. Our goal is to raise $8,500 through a variety of team and client events in 2010, such as a silent auction, charity walk, bake sales, poker tournament, 50/50 draws, and more.
