News Release
TORONTO – Shawn Rosenzweig, CA, and Howard Lerner, CA, partners at SBLR LLP Chartered Accountants will host an insightful crash course featuring the latest insights on two of the most lucrative corporate tax credits: Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) and Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credits (OIDMTC). This breakfast seminar, designed for owner-managed businesses, will take place at SBLR’s Yonge/Eglinton office, on March 31, 2011 at 7:45 a.m.
“Hundreds of Ontario companies are eligible to access these corporate tax credits,” said Rosenzweig. “Attending this event is the first step to cashing in on a refund.”
The event will cover these tax credit programs:
Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED): for companies that have invested money in designing new products, processes, machinery, custom equipment, or software…or have improved upon an existing one.
Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credits (OIDMTC): for companies with an interactive digital media product (such as a DVD, interactive website or digital media game), whose primary purpose is to educate, inform or entertain.
Attendees will gain insight on: who/what is eligible, tips for optimizing claims, passing claim reviews with flying colours, and how much companies stand to gain.
“Your competitors might be cashing in on their investments in innovation and digital media,” says Lerner. “You better make sure you don’t get left behind.”
Business owners will be given seating preference. Professional advisors are kindly asked to bring along a business owner client to attend. To RSVP please contact Aimee Lavallee at 416.488.2345 x 285 or at seminars@sblr.ca. The event will take place in the SBLR Boardroom, 2345 Yonge Street, Suite #410, Toronto.
