Born and raised in Montreal and educated at McGill University, Joel has practiced in public accounting since 1974.  In addition to his role as Partner at SBLR LLP Chartered Accountants, Joel actively represents and advises a wide range of clients in the capacity of Business Coach, Financial Planner and Strategic Business Consultant. 

The majority of Joel's clientele are construction and real estate companies as well as professional service practices.

Joel is a member of the Toronto Construction Association and he serves on their Board of Directors.
