New Funding Available for Companies Adopting Digital Technology

A new program has been made available by the federal government to support small and mid-sized enterprises in their quest to adopt digital technology and build digital skills.  The Digital Technology Adoption Pilot Program (DTAPP) will be available until March 31, 2014 and is expected to provide funding and advisory services to over 630 SMEs.

Through DTAPP, qualified companies will receive advice, and possibly funding, to adopt digital technology into their processes to improve productivity.  As a result, these companies will be in a better position to innovate, cut costs, create new jobs, improve the efficiency of their supply chain, and boost their overall productivity.

Could you be eligible?  To be considered for DTAPP, companies from any business sector must:

  • have 500 employees or less;
  • be incorporated, for-profit and operate in Canada;
  • be growth-oriented;
  • demonstrate plans to implement a project designed to adopt digital technologies; and
  • be willing to change their current operations to maximize the benefit of adopting digital technologies on their productivity.
